Our company ethos is derived from the concept of ‘golden ratio’ represented as φ (Greek letter ‘phi‘) and is also referred to as Divine Proportion.
It was written about by:
- Euclid in ‘Euclid’s Elements’ at around 300 B.C.,
- Luca Pacioli in “De Divina Proportione” in 1509, with
Leonardo da Vinci, who called it ‘divine proportion’. - Johannes Kepler in 1611, in his essay ‘On the Six Cornered
Snowflake’ about the Fibonacci sequence. - Dan Brown in 2003 in his bestselling novel ‘The Da Vinci
Code’.
This number φ (1.618…) symbolises ‘beauty with balance’ and is symbolized by Nautilus Shell.

Found to be present in the design of DNA to that of the Galaxies, the golden ratio seems to be the basis of designs in our universe. It is seen by many to open the door to a deeper understanding of spirituality in life.
It is an incredible role for a single number to play in human history and universe at large. Thus, inspiring us at NEOCAT to achieve the highest form of beauty, perfection and performance in our catalyst design.
And just like the universe has evolved through various stages, we also take aspiration from this golden ratio to chart our journey of growth and inspire the evolution of humanity through our contribution!
